Friday 25 October – Sunday 27 October
12pm – 6pm
Audible Forces is a landscape of wind-driven sound installations. Intriguing kinetic, sonic creations produce otherworldly sounds as nature’s unseen force – the wind - breathes life into them.
Seven of the finest sound artists - Max Eastley, Mark Anderson, Jony Easterby, Kathy Hinde, Dan Fox, Nathaniel Mann and Mike Blow - have created their own instruments. Towering Aeolian (wind) harps produce haunting sounds, sonic reed beds clatter and clink, feather vanes trigger chattering birdsong, whirling wind synthesizers ebb and flow with electronic pulses, and pigeon whistles draw paths of sound through the skies.
THIS IS A FREE, DROP-IN EVENT AS PART OF THE QUAYS OPEN WEEKEND. NO BOOKING IS REQUIRED.
